Oracle is shutting down GloriaFood — the free online-ordering platform used by more than 100,000 restaurants worldwide. The retirement date is official: April 30, 2027. Here is what that means in practice, and how to move without the panic.
What exactly happened
In early 2026 a banner appeared inside the GloriaFood app: the service will be retired on April 30, 2027. Oracle named the same date in emails to partners — on that day both the platform itself and the partner program close.
The key facts:
- Oracle has owned GloriaFood since 2021. The shutdown is a product being wound down, not a "move" to another Oracle platform.
- There is no official successor. Oracle recommends no replacement service and provides no migration tool.
- After April 30, 2027 the data becomes inaccessible. Menus, accounts, order history — none of it will open. No extension has been promised.
What this means for a restaurant
If your online orders run through GloriaFood, by the shutdown date you need three things ready:
- A new ordering system — menu, photos, delivery zones, opening hours.
- Updated entry points — buttons on your website, QR codes on tables, links in your Google listing and social profiles.
- Exports of the closed data — order history and your customer list: GloriaFood's public API does not expose them, so they can only be exported manually from the admin panel while it still works.
The biggest mistake is leaving it all to the last moment. QR codes are not reprinted in a day, Google listings update with a lag — and close to the deadline, thousands of restaurants will be moving at the same time.
A calm migration plan
Now. Pick the new platform and do a test migration. Ours is automatic: paste a link to your website or your GloriaFood ordering page — the menu with photos, hours, contacts, delivery zones and even your design move over by themselves. Your current GloriaFood account is not affected: the import only reads public data, and your orders keep working as before.
By the end of 2026. Switch the entry points: ordering buttons on your site, links in Instagram and Facebook bios, your Google Business Profile. Reprint the QR codes.
By March 2027. Export your customer list and order history from the GloriaFood admin — after the shutdown this will no longer be possible.
April 30, 2027. GloriaFood goes offline. If you moved early, your guests notice nothing.
What it costs
Migrating to our platform is free, and the core plan — a QR menu and commission-free online ordering — is free forever, the way GloriaFood was. Details, a feature comparison and the automatic import are on the GloriaFood migration page.
