Shopify · one tag, twelve widgets
One line in theme.liquid and chat, callback, cookie banner, pop-ups and a help center run on top of your store. Cart, checkout and products stay entirely with Shopify.
No card · a minute to sign up, another for the tag · settings reach your site in 5 minutes
The tag
<script src="https://cdn.cenaly.com/site/v1.js" data-domain="your-site.com" async></script> One tag for all widgets. `data-domain` is your site; everything else lives in the admin.
In your Cenaly.com dashboard: Admin panel → Marketing → «My Website». Enter your store address in the first field and copy the tag.
In the Shopify admin: Online Store → Themes → «…» on the theme → Duplicate. That is your way back if anything goes wrong.
Same place: «…» on the theme → Edit code. The Shopify help center describes the path as «From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store. Click … > Edit code».
In the file list on the left: the Layout folder → theme.liquid. That is the shared frame of every storefront page.
Paste the line right before the closing head tag (or before the closing body tag) and press Save.
Open your storefront and go back to «My Website» → «Check installation».
The edit lives inside that one theme. Publish a different theme and the widgets go away with the old one — paste the tag into the new theme as well.
No paid platform plan required
The theme code editor is part of the Shopify admin — no extra paid option is needed to paste the tag.
The Shopify help center treats editing theme code as an ordinary admin action: Online Store → «…» → Edit code. It names no separate paid module for putting a line into theme.liquid.
Shopify plans are of course paid in their own right — a store runs on a subscription. All we say here is that access to theme code needs nothing ON TOP of the plan you already have.
Staff permissions matter too: editing theme code requires the matching permission in the admin. If you cannot see «Edit code», that is about staff rights, not about the plan.
Menu names and plan requirements on this page come from the official help center:

In site builders your edit lives in a draft: until the pages are republished, the tag is not on the live site.
Admin panel → Marketing → «My Website». Put your site address in the first field and press «Check installation».
The check reads the page’s source HTML and lists the widgets it found. A tag injected through Google Tag Manager stays invisible to it — that is a limit of the check, not of the install.
Install errors and how to fix them — in the help center Installation guide →
Update or switch the theme and the tag stays behind in the old one. After a theme change, repeat the paste in the new theme.liquid.
Shopify’s checkout is closed to arbitrary theme scripts. Our widgets are built for the storefront: product pages, collections, content pages.
Shopify apps often add their own floating button. Two widgets in the same corner overlap — keep one, or move them apart.
If sales already run through the Shopify cart, leave that widget off and take what the store lacks: chat, callback, cookie banner, help center, legal pages.
No. One line in theme.liquid brings the widgets — no App Store install required.
No. The widgets render in a Shadow DOM on top of the page and do not interfere with the store’s markup or scripts. Shopify checkout stays entirely on Shopify’s side.
A theme update is essentially a fresh copy of the files. The tag in the old theme.liquid does not travel — paste the line into the updated theme.
Some themes offer their own custom code fields. If yours does, that works too; the universal path described by the Shopify help center is theme.liquid.
The tag is shared, and the store address goes into the data-domain attribute. With several storefronts, add them under «My Website» and double-check the domain in the tag.

Same widgets — different menu names.
The install code appears under «My Website» right after you sign up — one line in theme.liquid.
