Your SIM card or landline — in the cloud PBX

A GSM, FXO or ISDN gateway connects the number you have on a SIM card or a city line to the PBX: incoming calls ring your call groups and extensions.

Beta: the integration works, with the limits listed below.

What you get

Calls from a SIM or a city line

Incoming calls from a SIM card, an analogue line or ISDN go to your call groups and extensions.

Setup wizards

Ready instructions for Yeastar, Grandstream, GoIP, Dinstar, AudioCodes and Cisco ATA gateways.

Honest capacity

Set how many calls the line carries at once — a GSM gateway with one SIM carries one.

How to connect

  1. 1 In Telephony → «Staff & groups» create a separate extension for the gateway.
  2. 2 Enter its credentials in the gateway: UDP 5060, G.711, RFC 2833.
  3. 3 On the gateway route «Mobile → IP» to the call group or extension.
  4. 4 Make a test call to the SIM number.

What you need

  • A GSM, FXO or ISDN gateway and a SIM card or a city line.
  • The account’s PBX.
  • In networks without 2G/3G — a gateway with VoLTE.

Honest limits

  • Beta: in the «gateway as an extension» mode there are no outgoing calls through the gateway.
  • Outgoing calls work if the gateway is added as a SIP trunk and the PBX can reach it (a public address or port forwarding).
  • Routing rules of the PBX do not apply to calls coming from the gateway.

Limits come from our product map and setup guides and are updated as the integration develops.

Questions

Is a GSM gateway legal in my country?

It depends on the country and the operator’s terms; the guide has a country overview.

How many calls at once?

As many as the gateway has lines: one SIM card carries one call.

Which gateways are supported?

Any gateway with standard SIP; for Yeastar, Dinstar, GoIP, Grandstream and others there are guides.
