Add-on · free on sites from our builder
Privacy policy, terms of use, return conditions, cookies, delivery and four more types — assembled from your country, your company details and your answers about the business. The questionnaire can be autofilled from your own site, and the finished documents go in with one line: change the details in the admin, publish, and every page updates. Built for any site that collects contacts or takes orders.
Registration is free and needs no card · free on sites from our builder, a paid add-on on your own site · a republish reaches your site in 5 minutes
Your country and your customers’ countries, the set of documents, questions about the business (do you take orders, do you deliver, do you collect reviews) and your company details. “Autofill from the site or the code” pulls in the details and third-party services found on your site or in its repository — you only check them.
Every document has an ⓘ guide: required, depends on your case, or optional — with the rule behind it, the risk of skipping it, and the real section list for your current answers.
The preview switches between “document × language” tabs, and the text can be copied or downloaded as HTML and Markdown. Publishing assembles the documents in every language of your site and hosts them on our CDN as ready pages.
The text is embedded in a block of your page, links sit in the footer, and a click opens a modal — nobody has to leave your website.
A free Cenaly.com account and your site domain in the "My website" section.
One line before </body> — in your theme, in a Tilda or Wix HTML block, in Shopify's theme.liquid. It serves every widget.
Each widget is a toggle and a settings form. Changes reach your site without touching code; CDN cache is five minutes.
The tag
<script src="https://cdn.cenaly.com/site/v1.js" data-domain="your-site.com" async></script> One tag for all widgets. `data-domain` is your site; everything else lives in the admin.
“Autofill from the site or the code” crawls your pages or parses the repository with your site’s code and puts the company details and third-party services it finds into the questionnaire. You check and correct. Best for anyone who would rather not gather facts about their own site by hand.
Ten country rule sets: your country and your customers’ countries decide both which documents belong and which are mandatory, and the questionnaire changes the text rather than just the header. Best if you sell in several countries.
Each document’s ⓘ guide answers whether it is required, depends on your case, or optional — with the rule behind it and what the risk of skipping it is. The “what will be inside” section lists the real headings for your current answers. Best for anyone who wants neither gaps nor clutter.
The preview opens in “document × language” tabs, and the text can be copied or downloaded as HTML and Markdown — you can show it to a lawyer before it appears on the site. Changes take effect only when you publish. Best for anyone who doesn’t sign off on text unread.
Text straight into a block of the page, a set of links in the footer, or a modal opened from any link of yours. Inline text inherits your site’s styles, so there is nothing extra to design. Best for landing pages and large shops alike.
Options that contradict the answers you already gave are locked up front and explain why in plain words: “can’t be switched off while courier delivery is on”. Best when the questionnaire is filled in by someone who isn’t a lawyer.
Don’t start from someone else’s policy: autofill the questionnaire from your own site, check the text and put the links in the footer on day one.
Terms, returns and delivery come as a set, and its contents follow your answers rather than someone else’s template.
The document set and its obligations are computed for your customers’ country, and consent for cookies is collected by the neighbouring free widget.
Moved or renamed — correct the details in the admin and publish again, without touching the site code.
Documents are published in your site’s languages, so visitors read them in their own — no versions to place by hand.
There legal documents and the cookie banner are free and enabled from the start — that is a condition of a lawful site, not an upsell.
Colour, position and labels adapt to your site. The widget lives in a Shadow DOM — your styles don't break it, and it doesn't break yours.
Exact menu names and plan requirements, taken from each platform’s own help center.
Sites built with our website builder ship with the widgets already wired — nothing to paste.

Legal pages are the privacy policy, terms of use, return and delivery conditions, cookie policy and the other documents that explain to a visitor what happens to their data and their money. Which ones you need depends on the country and on how the business works: one set does not fit every site.
Copying them from a similar site is dangerous for exactly the reason it is convenient: the other company’s details, country and obligations travel with the text. A document naming the wrong data controller protects nobody.
Here documents are assembled from your answers: country and customer countries, type of business, whether you take orders, whether you deliver, plus your company details — and the questionnaire can be autofilled from your own site or the repository with its code. Every type carries a guide to whether it is mandatory and why, the text can be read in the preview before it goes live, and publishing produces ready pages in your site’s languages that you embed with one line and never touch again.
The add-on is unnecessary if your site was built with our website builder: there the documents and the cookie banner are included. And it is not a substitute for a lawyer — the generator assembles a standard text from your answers and shows the rule it rests on, but nobody will work through a disputed case, an industry licence or a cross-border transfer for you. The neighbouring widget solves the other half: documents explain what happens to the data, the cookie banner asks for consent before it does.
On an external site it is the “Legal pages” add-on at $9 a month or $90 a year — paying yearly means 10 months instead of 12. The number of documents, languages and republishes is never metered. On sites built with our website builder the documents are free.
No, and publishing is not a guarantee of compliance either. The documents follow typical rules of your country and your answers; for licensed, medical or financial activities the text is worth reviewing with a lawyer — you can download it from the preview for exactly that.
Nine types: privacy, terms of use, returns, cookies, delivery, a consent withdrawal form, imprint, disclaimer and an accessibility statement. The set depends on your country and your answers.
Yes. Our free public “Website check” tool looks at what is already installed on your site — and it works before you sign up, let alone connect the widget.
The same shared “My website” tag — it powers all 12 widgets — plus a container: `<div data-cenaly-legal="privacy"></div>` for the text or `<div data-cenaly-legal-links></div>` for footer links. No plugins needed, and a modal opens with `window.CenalyLegal.open()`.
The legal bundle is about 21 KB gzipped and loads as a separate file with the async attribute after the page has rendered. The document texts are not inside it — they are separate pages on our CDN: the link block points at them, and the modal opens one in a frame when the visitor clicks. The "text straight into the page" mode deliberately inherits your styles; everything else is isolated in a Shadow DOM.
Your site’s languages — the platform has 45. The language is picked per page: an exact match first, then the publication’s main language, then the first available one. Every version can be read in the preview before publishing.
Change them in the admin and publish the documents again: the text updates everywhere it is embedded on the site. The site code itself is never touched, and the new version arrives within 5 minutes.
Yes, that is the neighbouring widget: the document describes which cookies you use, while the banner collects consent and blocks trackers until it is given. Ours is free, and on sites from our builder both are enabled from the start.
One loader — about 26 KB gzipped, with the async attribute: it reads which widgets you switched on and pulls only those, as separate files. A widget you left off is never downloaded, and the weight of each one you did switch on is stated on its own page.
No. Widgets render inside a Shadow DOM: your site's CSS doesn't affect them and theirs doesn't leak out.
It reads your page's `<html lang>` or a `data-lang` attribute on the tag. Built-in labels are translated into 45 languages — the guest chat covers the same list; your own texts you write in the admin in the languages you need.
In the cloud your account lives in: cenaly.com — AWS, cenaly.ru — Yandex Cloud in Russia. Requests, conversations and bookings stay within the brand's contour.
