Account and location settings

The Settings section (/settings) is not "everything you can configure" — it is the hub of account-wide parameters: language and currency, auto-translation languages, access, subscription, export. The settings of a particular location live in its own card, and the settings of a section live in that section, behind the gear in the window header. Below is the map, so that you do not have to guess.

What you need to get started#

  • Owner rights for most tabs: access, account handover, export and subscription are owner-level. The "Settings" section can also be granted to a staff role through the role constructor, but it is marked as sensitive — see Staff and shifts.
  • Nothing has to be switched on: the hub is available in every business type and on every brand.
  • The open tab is kept in the address, so F5, the browser's "back" button and a link someone sent you all behave as expected.

The tabs one by one#

Tab Address What is inside
General /settings/general Default interface and menu language (45 locales), currency, country, the free-form "Concept" field (AI features read it as context), and the read-only "Acceptance of legal documents" block
Interface /settings?tab=interface The look of the panel for yourself: density, text size, how editing windows open, "less motion", reset to standard
Status automation /settings/orders Auto-cancelling unpaid and auto-completing served orders, scenarios, the customer block list, return and cancellation reasons
Languages /settings/languages Which auto-translation languages are on — as a sortable list or on an interactive map of countries
Subscription /subscription Plan, limits, balance, invoice, AI credits — see Subscription
Access /settings/access Password change, handing the account over to another e-mail, personal API keys for external AI agents
Support access /settings/support-access Consent for support to sign in and its scope, the history of consents, the log of sessions, sign-in modes for partner firms
My SIP accounts /settings/sip-accounts Your own personal accounts for your SIP devices — see Telephony
Data export /settings/export An archive of all account data and a quick catalogue CSV — see Data export

General settings save themselves: an edit leaves a second after you stop typing, and immediately if you leave the page or switch the browser tab. The status is shown in the block header as "⏳ / 💾 / ✅ / ❌".

Interface is a personal setting#

The "Interface" tab changes the look of the panel for you only: nothing changes for other people in the account.

Setting Options
Density "Spacious" (large targets for a finger, the default) or "Compact" (more rows fit on the screen)
Text size Smaller / Normal / Larger — the whole panel scales
How editing windows open "As designed", "Window", "Right panel", "Full screen". An individual window's mode is set by three buttons in its header, and that override wins; windows you set by hand are listed here and can be cleared one by one or all at once
Less motion Switches off slide-ins and smooth appearances
Reset to standard Brings back the usual look; the button only appears if you have changed something

Status automation is about statuses, not about order conditions#

The tab holds two fixed rules (cancel unpaid and complete served orders after N hours, from 1 to 168) and a scenario constructor: an order event → conditions (amount, order type, source, payment method, channel, number of items) → actions (e-mail, webhook, status change). Up to 5 conditions and 3 actions per rule. Next to them is the customer block list with anti-fraud limits and the register of return and cancellation reasons.

⚠️ Checkout fields, pickup and delivery are not configured here but in the location card (/locations) — there is a pointer line about that on the tab.

What belongs to the account and what belongs to the location#

Level Examples Where
Account — shared by all locations Default language and currency, country, auto-translation languages, subscription and balance, password and account handover, support access, export /settings
Location — its own for each The name the guest sees, address and phone, opening hours, taxes, tips and the service fee, delivery and pickup terms, checkout fields, the storefront cookie banner, a narrowed set of languages /locations
Personal — for you only The look of the panel (density, text size, window mode), "My SIP accounts" /settings?tab=interface, /settings/sip-accounts
Per-location inside the hub Status automation and return reasons — with a location selector /settings/orders

If you have several locations, one rule helps: everything the guest sees is a location setting; everything about the account and money is an account setting. In more detail — Multi-location.

How to find a setting from a working window#

You do not have to hunt for a setting through the help centre: the panel follows the rule "the settings are visible from the window they belong to".

  • The gear on the right side of a window's header is the single entry point. It shows the settings of exactly what the window displays: the floor plan, cashier permissions, the location's payments, languages, the list's appearance.
  • Most targets open as a window on top of the current screen — you do not have to leave for another section and lose your place.
  • Such a setting has an address: ?settings=<id> (for example, /tables?settings=deposits). The link can be sent to a colleague — their window will open right on the setting you meant. The parameter is one-time: it disappears from the address once it has opened.
  • If the target page is wider than the setting itself, the transition highlights the right block and scrolls to it.

The section tour and the setup wizard#

The "Settings" header holds two restart buttons:

  • The section tour — a short walk through the panel: what is where and why.
  • The setup wizard — a step-by-step run that brings the account to a working state; the same wizard is offered right after registration. The first steps by business type — First day.

Notifications and sounds#

There is no separate "Notifications" section in the settings, and that is not an omission: signals are configured where the events happen.

  • A new order — the sound and browser notifications are switched on in the Orders screen; the sound has two modes: play once, or repeat until the order is opened.
  • Letters to guests and scenarios — on the "Status automation" tab (the "send an e-mail" action) and in Newsletters.
  • Work messages to the team (shift publishing, reminders) arrive in the work chat — see Chat.

Limitations#

  • Interface is a personal setting. You cannot set the look of the panel "for the whole team".
  • The sidebar composition does not live in settings. Which sections are shown is decided by the App Store; the "Panel profile" tab is gone.
  • Plan limits are soft: going over stops you adding something new (a language, a location) but never switches off what already exists.
  • Two tabs are reduced on cenaly.ru: there is no account handover to another e-mail and no log of support sessions.
  • An API key is shown once. Lost it — revoke it and create a new one.
  • The "Interface" tab is the only one without its own address: it is reached at /settings?tab=interface.

Troubleshooting#

Symptom Cause What to do
A setting did not save — a "❌" in the block header The request did not get through (network, an expired session) Repeat the edit; if the mark stays, sign in again — the failure goes to the development team automatically
I am looking for checkout fields and delivery on the "Status automation" tab Those are location settings Open the location card in /locations
A language is added but the storefront does not show it The location has a narrowed set of languages Check the languages in the location card; see QR menu
I do not see the account handover block You are on cenaly.ru or you signed in with a QR code The handover is unavailable in those cases — see Account and sign-in
A new language will not be added The plan limit has been reached Remove a language you do not need or change the plan — Subscription
There is no gear in the window header This window genuinely has no settings The account-wide ones are in /settings; if you believe a setting should exist, write to support

FAQ#

Where do I change the password? Settings → Access. Those who sign in with Google will not be asked for the old password.

Can I give an employee access only to the settings of their own location? Sections are granted to a role as a whole, while the coverage of locations is limited inside the role itself. The full model — Staff and shifts.

What is the "Concept" field in general settings? A free-form description of the business. AI features read it: product and dish descriptions, newsletter texts and assistant hints come out more accurate.

What are the API keys on the "Access" tab for? To connect an external AI agent or your own application to the account — see MCP server.

I changed the density — why is it still spacious for my colleague? That is by design: the look of the panel is a personal setting of whoever is signed in.

How do I share a particular setting? Open it from the window's gear and copy the address: it contains ?settings=<id> and will open the same setting for your colleague.
