Delivery step by step: take, pick up, hand over

Cenaly Courier is the app for the venue’s own courier: a delivery feed, steps confirmed by the server, cash on delivery and proof of delivery.

One line-up on Android and iOS: the same account, the same locations and data. The goal is the same features on both platforms; where the iOS version differs, it is said below.

What it does

Delivery feed

What is ready to pick up, which deliveries are at risk of being late, completed history.

Delivery steps

“Take”, “Picked up”, “Delivered” — each step is checked against the server; unconfirmed steps are not lost.

Cash on delivery

The payment method is chosen explicitly, never pre-selected.

Proof of delivery

The guest’s PIN or a photo at the door.

Guest not answering

Retry the delivery or return the package to the venue with a reason.

Tracking for the guest

The guest sees where the courier is while the order is on the way.

Limits, honestly

  • PIN and photo are the courier’s own record, not third-party verification.
  • On cenaly.ru the courier track and delivery photos are not stored yet, and the feed is refreshed with the “Refresh” button.
  • Push notifications do not reach the apps yet.
  • Android versions are distributed as an installation file right from this site — they are not on Google Play yet; iPhone and iPad versions are released through the App Store. Features were tested on emulators and test devices; acceptance in working venues is still in progress.

How to install

  1. Open this page on the Android device itself and tap “Download APK”.
  2. Open the downloaded file. On the first install Android asks to allow installs from this source (your browser) — allow it.
  3. Tap “Install” and wait until it finishes — the icon appears on the home screen.
  4. Launch the app and sign in: email and password, or a QR code issued by the web dashboard.

Updating works the same way: download the file again and install it over the old one; your sign-in is kept.

Sign-in

The same account as the web dashboard: email and password, a QR code for a shared device, and an authenticator code if two-factor protection is on. Staff only see the locations of their role.
